ch. 17 pg 827-861
In this chapter it discusses the revolutions of industrialization. As the population was growing there was an emerging energy crisis, mainly in western Europe, China, and Japan. Industrial fuels were going away and their prices started to rise. The industrial revolution marked a human response to the dilemma as non renewable fossil fuels replaced earlier reliance on energy sources of wind, water, wood, and human muscle power. it was a breakthrough for human use.The industrial revolution had a major impact on the environment. it altered landscapes and turned natural things like rivers into cess pools. and polluted the air affecting many people. The industrial revolution is one of the major events in human history globally.
